ABM Franchising Group hosted its largest Continuing Education Conference on Jan. 18-20, when more than 1,200 Linc Service and TEGG franchise employees, and ABM employees came to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta for educational sessions, awards and an opportunity to network with vendors.

The annual conference, which was themed Creating Opportunities, offered more than 90 educational courses, dozens of roundtable discussions and the Vendor Showcase, which featured 73 industry vendors – the largest in the history of the event. “Our event tagline for 2018 is Creating Opportunities” said Bruce Phibbs, Senior Vice President of ABM Franchising Group. “That’s what we want to do for our franchises – help create opportunities through best-in-class technology, training and tools.”

ABM Franchising Group hosts the annual conference to provide educational and networking opportunities for its franchises, Linc Service and TEGG contractors. The 2018 event included a motivational speech from Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, who made his dream of playing football at the University of Notre Dame a reality, despite facing nearly insurmountable obstacles.

During the conference’s Award Presentation, adi Electrical Limited, a TEGG franchise since 2005 from Birmingham, England, was named the Contractor of the Year.

The Contractor of the Year Award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to the most outstanding TEGG contractor. Criteria for achieving the award is based on, but not limited to, implementation of the TEGG system and overall sales activity and performance.

“As one of the first TEGG Franchises in Europe, this organization personifies the pioneering, trail-blazing spirit,” said Area Vice President Erik Lorensen. “Established in 1990, their vision and dream was to become the premier, one-stop shop solutions provider for engineering and facility services. In 2005, TEGG became a vehicle to help accomplish that dream.”
