Kroon Electric Corporation, a leading provider of full-service of electrical contracting throughout Ontario and Quebec, was named TEGG's 2018 Contractor of the Year during ABM Franchising Group's 2019 Continuing Education Conference held February 7-9 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The award was presented to Kroon Electric Corporation, which became a TEGG franchise in 2002. The company currently operates out of Ottawa, Ontario, and Montreal, Quebec.
The award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to the contractor who displays the most outstanding organizational performance in the categories of activity growth, sales performance, gross and operating profit, maintenance base growth and implementation of the TEGG system. There are currently more than 80 TEGG franchises globally, with only one receiving this award every year.
"During the past two years Michael and I have been working hard on building a great team and, more importantly, finding Leaders within our company," said Audrey Lowther, who owns Kroon Electrical Corporation with her brother, Michael Kroon. "We know that the only way we will continue this growth and success is by empowering our current leaders to find and mentor our future leaders."
The award marks the second time Kroon Electric Corporation has won the award – which is regarded as ABM Franchising Group's most prestigious. The company previously received the award in 2016.
Kroon Electric Corporation was founded in 1976 by Cornelius Kroon. It began providing comprehensive electrical solutions to the private and public sectors for projects of all sizes. Kroon Electric Corporation remains a family-owned business, with the second-generation leadership of Michael Kroon and Audrey (Kroon) Lowther.
