Koontz Electric Company was recognized for performance excellence with an Arkansas Governor's Quality Award on October 6th. The awards were presented by Governor Asa Hutchinson to fourteen organizations across the state, in coordination with a nonprofit affiliate of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
The 9th annual invitational, held at the Morrilton Country Club in late September, brings the total raised by the tournament to $68,000, a number matched by Koontz Electric Company, for a total of $136,000. The fund provides scholarships to high school graduates focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics degrees or specialized training programs. Since the program's inception, 46 scholarships have been awarded to graduating high school seniors in Conway County.
"Special thanks to all our sponsors, and employee volunteers. We couldn't do it without you" said Moore. "We're already looking forward to next year's event."
Koontz Electric has been a member of the TEGG network since 2005.
