Humphrey & Associates Inc, a leading provider of commercial and industrial electrical services throughout northeast Texas, was named the 2020 TEGG Contractor of the Year during ABM Franchising Group's 2021 Continuing Education Conference held January 19-22.

Humphrey & Associates became a TEGG franchise in 1997 and has won Contractor of the Year five times, an achievement notably shared by ABM Franchising Group's 2020 Linc Service Contractor of the Year, five-time winner OtisAir, Ltd. Humphrey & Associates currently operates out of Carrollton, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, and their East Texas office in Yantis.

The award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to TEGG Service contractors that show outstanding organizational performance in the categories of activity growth, sales performance, gross and operating profit, maintenance base growth and implementation of the TEGG system. In a year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, Humphrey & Associates achieved impressive performance levels in multiple categories.

In his acceptance speech, Kirkland called out many Humphrey & Associates team members by name, including winner of TEGG Operations Coordinator of the Year, Michele Orellana, and TEGG Sales Team Award winners Joe Baker, Hector Orellana, Dave Schlapkohl, and Jason YBarbo. During the Employee of the Year awards presentation earlier in the conference, Michele Orellana was praised for her commitment to customer communications.

Founded in 1977, Humphrey & Associates is a family-owned business that considers their employees, who own 50% of the company through an ESOP, as their most valued asset. Their teams provide electrical, mechanical, engineering and design, and preventative/proactive maintenance for industrial, healthcare, mission critical and commercial facilities.
