Continuing their tradition of helping clients ensure their employees have access to up-to-date electrical safety training, TEGG Contractor Transworld Electric hosted a 2-day seminar this April at the University of South Carolina. Taught by ABM Franchising Group’s Director of Technical Training and Support, Joseph DeMonte, the courses covered the NFPA 70E safety information and safety-related maintenance for multiple Transworld clients.
“I had no idea there was so much that I need to check or have checked,” wrote one of the attendees in the course feedback. “Joe gave us a great class and taught us a few new tricks we can definitely use at our company,” wrote another.
Empower Training Services presented “Electrical Safety in the Workplace” on day one and “Safety-Related Maintenance” on day two. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) states that employees working around energized equipment require training in safe work practices. TEGG contractors can contact Empower Training Services to discuss offering on-site or virtual safety trainings for their clients and customers.
Joseph DeMonte is the co-lead instructor for Empower Training Services, teaching courses in the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. He has over 22 years of industry experience in predictive maintenance, including infrared thermography, and previously designed courses and instructed Navy Special Ops and Coast Guard forces.
