The oldest continually operated electrical contracting business in the U.S. with a history stretching back to the 1860s, Edward G. Sawyer, Co. has been a TEGG contractor since 1997. In remarks on stage at the award ceremony, the team’s hard work, focus, and fantastic achievements in 2024 were noted, including gross revenue growth of 30% year-over-year and an increase in maintenance base of 33%. 

Accepting the award on behalf of Edward G. Sawyer, Co., Principal Joseph J. McCluskey, Jr., began his speech: “First, and most importantly, I want to give thanks and congratulate my team for all their hard work.” McCluskey praised Service Vice President Scott Jackson, Support Service Manager Lou Forse, and team members Sam Pietroforte, Bob Savastano, Mike Joyner, Amanda McPhee, Leslee Stokes, and Mary Gravinese. “Over the years it’s grown and grown and grown, and Scott has basically taken it to another level.” 

The TEGG Contractor of the Year Award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to the most outstanding TEGG contractor. Criteria for achieving the award is based on, but not limited to, implementation of the TEGG system and overall sales activity and performance.
