The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) announced that Kimberly Moore, Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications with Koontz Electric in Morrilton, has been named President of the Greater Little Rock Chapter.
Mrs. Moore joined NAWIC Chapter 12 on August 1, 2019. She was elected to the board of directors and named Vice President in October 2020. Mrs. Moore was awarded the NAWIC Rookie of the Year Award for 2019-2020.
The National Association of Women in Construction originally began as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas in 1953. NAWIC now has over 115 chapters throughout the United States with the purpose of amplifying the success of women in the construction industry and providing opportunities for professional development, education, and public service. Today's members are business owners and executives, subcontractors, managers, accountants, estimators, and tradeswomen.
Koontz Electric is a diversified heavy industrial electrical contractor that specializes in power, instrumentation, and control systems. Other Koontz Electric NAWIC members include Tammy Andrews, Wanda Virden, and Courtney Andrews.
